The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana recently conducted a survey on the renewable energy environment in Ghana. We at CRE were not surprised that the study revealed a competitive environment for producing energy from photovoltaics! Among other factors in this conclusion, is Ghana’s national energy policy that aims to generate 10% of the country’s power from renewable sources by 2020. And the new feed-in tariff rates, established in 2013, allow energy providers and consumers to lock in stable rates that are bankable and dependable.
